Employee Benefits
Monogram provides full- and part-time employees with a comprehensive benefits package.
- Health Coverage
All regular employees working 20 or more hours per week, eligible dependents, and domestic partners are eligible for coverage.
- Medical
We provide three comprehensive plans to choose from: Preferred Provider Option (PPO) and Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) through Blue Cross in addition to Kaiser Permanente HMO. All offer an expansive network of providers and full prescription plans.
- Dental
Monogram's dental plan covers 100% of preventive procedures. Other treatment coverage, including orthodontia, varies with treatment type.
- Vision
Every 12 months you and your eligible dependents may get an eye exam and contact lenses or eyeglasses.
- Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment
Life insurance of 2x your annual salary (to a maximum of $500,000) and Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance up to 2x your annual salary are provided to all regular employees working 20 or more hours per week. You may also purchase additional coverage for yourself and/or your dependents.
- Short- and Long-Term Disability
Disability insurance is provided to all regular employees working 20 or more hours per week. Eligibility for Long-Term Disability begins after six months.
- Flexible Benefit Plans
These plans allow you to set aside a portion of your salary, on a pre-tax basis, to pay for qualified health, dependent care, and premium contribution expenses.
- Wellness
All regular employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for “wellness” reimbursement up to $250.00 (grossed up for tax purposes) per calendar year. Reimbursable programs include Weight Watchers & Jenny Craig (enrollment fees only), smoking cessation, CPR/First Aid training and gym memberships.
- 401(k)
All regular employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible to enroll in Monogram Biosciences' 401(k) plan. Employees may contribute up to 85% of their annual salary or $15,500, whichever is less, on a pre-tax basis. Monogram Biosciences provides a 25% stock match. Vesting occurs at year end and is 100% vested in form of stock. There is also a $5,000 “catch up” contribution plan for employees over 50 years of age.
- Stock Options
Incentive stock options are granted to regular employees and are subject to approval by the Board of Directors. Options vest over 4 years, with 25% vesting on the first anniversary and monthly vesting thereafter.
- Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
Employees are eligible to have 1% to 15% of their salary deducted post-tax to use toward the purchase of Monogram common stock at 15% off the market price.
- E*Trade
E*Trade administers Monogram's ESPP and employee incentive stock option plans on-line. Brokerage and bank accounts are also available.
- Personal Time Off and Holidays
All regular full-time employees receive 160 hours of personal time off per year. We observe 10 scheduled holidays each year. In addition, there is one floating holiday provided per 6 months.
- Transportation Benefit
Employees can elect to set aside money on a pre-tax basis to pay for qualified transportation expenses, up to $115 per month. We also sell Commuter Checks at a 25% discount which can be used for all transit systems and most vanpools in the Bay Area.
- Shuttle Service
Free shuttle service is provided between Monogram and local BART and CalTrain stations.
- Bonus Plan
Monogram offers an annual bonus plan to eligible employees based on achievement of corporate goals.
- Employee Assistance Program
Employees and family members are eligible to receive up to three sessions for each counseling or life management issue; these visits are free and confidential, and are handled through the Managed Health Network. On-site workshops are also available throughout the year.
- Educational Reimbursement
Monogram offers an educational reimbursement program of up to $6,000/year for employees taking classes for course credit at an accredited college or university. Upon approval, all full-time employees with at least three months of service are eligible to participate in the program.
In addition, full-time Clinical Lab Technicians who reduce their hours to part-time status to pursue Clinical Lab Scientist licensure can be reimbursed for up to $6,000 per year for their coursework upon their manager's approval.
- CNDO! and MonoGrat Awards (Spot Bonus)
Monogram provides real-time awards in the form of gift certificates and other acknowledgments for significant contributions to the company.

Knowing how busy you can get, we make available direct deposit, dry cleaning and laundry services, subsidized vending machines and bagels, onsite car wash and detailing, pet veterinary insurance, chair massages, pre-paid legal services, and a credit union.
